Wingshooting Safaris - South Africa

South Africa offers some of the finest bird shooting in the world, the varied species selection allows for very different experiences. From the high volume, fast and furious rock pigeon shoots to the far more refined francolin over dogs. Our duck hunting has generous bag limits and for the collector an absolute pleasure, 7 species of trophy duck is quite common.

Driven guinea fowl are possibly the most underrated of all our bird shooting, large birds that seem cumbersome and slow are totally the opposite, very fast and very wise, and they make a wonderful quarry! Paul Stones Safaris Africa has some of the finest bird shooting available, we also cater to all non shooting companions and day trips can be arranged to entertain those of you that might like a change in scenery.

 

Pricelist

The following bird species are the most commonly hunted and available from the 1st May 2006 through 31st August:

Spur-Winged Goose, Egyptian Goose, Yellow billed Duck, White Faced Whistling Duck, Red Billed Teal, Swainson’s Francolin, Crested Francolin, Natal Francolin, Laughing Dove, Red Eyed Dove, Turtle Dove and Rock Pigeon.

Daily rate for single guns on 2 or more days $750-00 USD per gun per day
2 to 3 guns $690-00 USD per day per gun
4 guns + $650-00 USD per day per gun
Observer’s $250-00 USD per day



All above pricing exclude 14% value added tax.


Daily rate inclusive of the following:
  1. Services of a qualified professional hunter.
  2. Fully equipped safari vehicle.
  3. All forms of accommodation during contracted safari dates.
  4. All meals on safari.
  5. Alcohol in moderation.
  6. Daily laundry.
  7. Field preparation of trophies.
  8. Bird license fees.
  9. Use of gundogs.

Daily rate excludes:
  1. Shotgun cartridges @ $14.00 USD per box
  2. Accommodation before and after contracted safari dates.
  3. All items of a personal nature.
  4. Transportation to the safari area return. ($650-00 US per vehicle)
  5. Telephone calls.
  6. Firearm rental @ $35-00 US per day. (excludes ammo)
  7. All forms of air travel (if required)
  8. Personal travel insurance.
  9. $150-00 USD per person for first night in camp if not a hunting day.
